Meet Our Doctors
Tina L. Wang, DMD - Dentist
Dr. Tina Wang graduated from Bowdoin College in 1982, and four years later received her D.M.D. Degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She remained at Tufts as an Assistant Clinical Professor for another six years and in 1989, joined the practice with Drs. Thiel and Rubin.
As a top female dentist in Wellesley, Dr. Wang remains active in the Mass. Dental Society and serves as Co-Chair on multiple committees of the Yankee Dental Congress. She is also on the Steering/Advisory Committee which drives the 25,000 person educational and scientific meeting held annually here in Boston. She is currently a member of the Metropolitan District Dental Society peer review committee. This district is the largest in the state.
Outside the practice, Dr. Wang and her husband Chris are managing the active lives of their three children.
James N. Thiel, DDS - Prosthodontist
Dr. Jim Thiel graduated from Marquette University Dental School. He then served in the U.S. Navy, in the Fleet Marines. After military service he moved to Massachusetts where he completed his specialty in Prosthetic and Implant Dentistry from Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry.
Dr. Thiel has served as chair of the Metropolitan District Dental Society; Trustee, Officer & Treasurer of the Mass. State Dental Society; Chair & Treasurer of the various organizational committees of the Yankee Dental Congress - a 25,000 person annual, regional, educational and scientific meeting. The largest of its type in Boston. He remains active in these and his specialty organizations as well. Dr. Thiel is also a fellow of the honorary American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.
He has served as teacher & lecturer locally, nationally and abroad in his specialty field of prosthodontics. He has also served as trustee of Boston University School of Dentistry as well as the alumni association of Boston University Dental School and Marquette Dental School.
Family, golf, genealogy, and stamp collecting keep Dr. Thiel busy when out of the office. His wife Mary has been at his side both in the office and at home over the practice years.
Paul D. Epstein, DMD - Dentist
Dr. Paul Epstein is a graduate of the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. His practice focuses on esthetic dentistry, crowns, bridges, implant restorations, TMD and sleep apnea. He has completed advanced dental training at the LD Pankey Institute and also as a visiting faculty member. He has presented nationally, internationally and lectured at Harvard ‘s and Boston University ‘s dental schools on cosmetic dentistry, occlusion and TMD problems. He is a member of the ADA and the Mass Dental Society, Fellow of the International College of Dentistry, an active participant in continuing dental education programs and enjoys sharing his dental knowledge and experience as a mentor of dental study clubs.
Outside the office he enjoys skiing, golf, hiking, water sports and especially spending time with his wife Tricia, his son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.
Milagros Serrano, DMD - Periodontist
. Millie Serrano graduated with honors and awards from the New York University College of Dentistry in 1993. Since then, she has been in private practice, and in 1995, she earned her certificate of advanced graduate study in periodontics and dental implants.
Being a member of the American Academy of Periodontics and American Dental Association®, a certified LANAP clinician of the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry, and a member in other Millennium Associations gives our practice the expertise with the newest technology. When patients have been referred to our office by general dentists, specialists or friends, whether their needs are simple or complex, our solution can provide the required treatment with a fully knowledgeable procedure based on our experience to help our patients understand the options available and best suited for their unique situations.
Zachary U. Kano, DMD - Endodontist
Dr. Zachary Kano is an Endodontist, specializing in root canals, root canal therapy & treatment. His extensive education in specialized dentistry includes C.A.G.S. Endodontics, Boston University School of Dental Medicine (2008), F.O.M.S. Boston University, Boston Medical Center (1998), G.P.R. State University of New York, Kings County Hospital (1997), and D.M.D. Boston University School of Dental Medicine (1996).
Wanpeng Xu, DMD - Periodontist
Dr. Xu received his DDS from Henan Medical University, China, in 2000. Upon his graduation, he attended Hiroshima University, Japan, for his first periodontal training combined with a Ph.D. major in tissue engineering for periodontal application.
Dr. Xu attended Boston University Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry and received his second dental degree (DMD) and periodontal certificate in 2015. In addition to private practice, Dr. Xu teaches clinical surgeries and Periodontology at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine and continues his research in tissue engineering
Dr. Xu’s professional memberships include; The American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Association of Dental Research, the International Association of Dental Research, the Japanese Society of Periodontology, and the Japanese Association of Conservative Dentistry. Dr. Xu is also a committee member of the Massachusetts Dental Society.
Outside of work he enjoys swimming, kayaking, music, and traveling.
Zoë Corner, DMD CAGS
Dr. Zoë Corner is a Wayland native who earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania with Honors in Clinical Dentistry. She then completed her General Practice Dental Residency through Brown University at the Samuel Sinclair Dental Center at Rhode Island Hospital. There she focused on the management of dental trauma and infections, special needs dentistry, and the dental needs of the medically complex. Prior to her dental training, Dr. Corner graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wake Forest University in North Carolina with an undergraduate major in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Neuroscience.
Dr. Corner is passionate about cosmetic and restorative dentistry. It is her goal to make the dentist feel like a safe space for her patients. She believes her role as a dentist is to help her patients stay healthy and feel comfortable in their own skin, speak with confidence, enjoy meals with loved ones, and share their smile and laughter generously.
Dr. Corner spends her free time with her fiancé, Sam, and their golden retriever, Piper. She enjoys reading, pickleball, crossfit, and cooking. She is an avid traveller, who loves to explore new cultures and cuisines.
